Think Deeply

My strongest asset is my ability to investigate, think out of the box and devise creative solutions to solving problems.  I enjoy diving deep into research, collecting and synthesizing both quantitative and qualitative data, then proposing multiple design solutions.  When designing a brand new product, I have no hesitation designing around user needs.

Feel Deeply

Empathy with customers when supported by data is a great asset to inform design decisions and strategies.  Empathy when working with people from various departments to understand their goals is crucial.

Results Oriented

I like moving needles and hitting numbers because it's fun!  Set the goal, the playing field, and lets devise a strategy to win.  I'm here to help the company make money by focusing on what customers need balanced by what is affordable, financially speaking.

Transparency

Transparency over secrecy, please!  Communicate inclusively and non-competitively.  We all work in the same company, the same team and we are here to help one another succeed.  I trust in my colleagues.  I don't believe in competing with my colleagues because I'm focused on the company success as a whole.  My success is your success.

Ever Evolving

Once upon a time, I was a photography darkroom technician with exceptional illustration skills.  When digital cameras and scanners came, I combined my photography with illustration and presented them on the web.  Printed magazines and stores became websites.  Ecommerce? I did that too.  CD Roms? Check.  Social Media? Check. Web applications, mobile and tablet apps, responsive designs? CHECK, CHECK CHECK. I'm ever evolving with changes in technology.

Kind

This is arguably the most important aspect of being a user experience professional.  I am pleasant, avoid gossip and genuinely have the best interest of my company and my colleagues at heart.  I care that people have a life outside of work and are genuinely happy.  I care about having rich and meaningful relationships.
